Viera y Clavijo : ウィキペディア英語版 | José de Viera y Clavijo
José de Viera y Clavijo (December 28, 1731 – 1813), was a Spanish ecclesiastic, historian, botanist, ethnographer, and professor, best known for his exhaustive ''History of the Canary Islands'' (''Historia de Canarias''). Born in Realejo Alto, on the island of Tenerife, he was the son of the town's mayor, Gabriel Viera del Álama. His mother was Antonia María Clavijo. In his ''Noticias'', he examined the question of Saint Brendan's Island. He died in Las Palmas, on the island of Gran Canaria. ==See also==
